“You too should dream of this Church” is the title of the Booklet released by the General Secretariat of the Italian Bishops’ Conference (CEI) inspired by “the keynote speech made by the Holy Father in Florence in which he defined his expectations for the Italian Church, based on a synodal approach in which everyone can make his humble, voluntary and joyful contribution”. CEI General Secretary Mgr. Nunzio Galantino distributed the first copies of the booklet to the bishops who took part in the CEI Permanent Council in Genoa these days (14-16 March). “The booklet is not a written record of the minutes – the Director of the CEI Office for Social Communications Fr. Ivan Maffeis explained in the weekly newsletter of the Office -, but rather an open text that we should write together to address the problems of our time, viewing them ‘as challenges rather than obstacles’, moved by the certainty that ‘the Lord is active and works in the world’”.
