“The operation to transfer the migrants to the ships of our armed forces will start as soon as possible”, said Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta, as he announced the agreement reached by the EU to relocate the 49 migrants who have been stranded at sea for weeks aboard the ships Sea Watch and Sea Eye. The migrants will then be relocated to 8 EU countries, including Italy.
