Since the trip to Panama, the WYD venue, “is long and expensive”, the Diocese of Helsinki has organised a “Diocesan Day” for young people in Helsinki, “in the true spirit of World Youth Days”. The event will take place on 26-27 January. The theme will be “Follow me – young people and vocation. We are all called to holiness”. The goal is to “share, build community, and join in prayer with those brothers and sisters who will be in Panama”, the organisers explained. The event will begin in the afternoon of Saturday 26 with testimonies and a debate on vocation, followed by Mass, dinner and a prayer vigil. On Sunday, 27 January, the docu-movie “Inspired to love”, produced by Opus Dei, will inspire reflection on holiness in daily life.
