“The meeting this morning in Seoul between Mgr. Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States, and Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, was very friendly and rich in content”, the Vatican Press Office announced in a statement released a few minutes ago. “Mgr. Gallagher – the press office informed – has conveyed Pope Francis’ greetings, support and prayer for the peace and reconciliation process in the Korean Peninsula. The importance of reviving any useful humanitarian initiative was stressed, as well as the urgent need to promote a culture of peace among young people”.
