Slovakia: camps for christian candidates in politics organized by association of christian youth communities

(Bratislava) – Intensive courses for Christian candidates who intend to participate in this year’s municipal elections and want to learn how to combine their political ambitions with their faith and moral principles are organized by the Association of Christian Youth Communities in Slovakia. There will be several three-day camps held in various parts of the country, starting tomorrow in Kysak. Participants will learn how to plan their campaign, how to use various instruments to make it effective and how to actually be politicians without having to compromise on the issues concerning their spiritual life. “The project has been established to meet the need for thorough professional training of believers who are not indifferent to the direction of our society and want to actively contribute to shaping our future based on values”, project coordinator Eduard Filo explains. The camps will focus on the spiritual development of individuals, their mutual interactions, communication skills, campaign strategies and the presentation of their political agenda – all this in the light of the Gospel.
