“I appeal to the Italian government to help us to escape from Pakistan, where my family and I are in danger”. This is the appeal Ashiq Masih, Asia Bibi’s husband, made in a phone call with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN): “I thank ACN in Italy who invited us on the occasion of the Colosseum being lit up in red in solidarity with Asia Bibi, which gave global visibility to her case. It is very important that the international community and the media continue devoting a great deal of attention to Asia Bibi to help her stay alive. At this very time, we are extremely worried because our lives are in danger and it is difficult for us even to find something to eat”.
