Iceland: Reykjavík, meeting of the Nordic Bishops’ Conference. Family in the agenda. Mass at Landakot Cathedral on Sunday

Reykjavík: the autumn meeting of the Nordic Bishops’ Conference, including the bishops of Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Reykjavík is starting tomorrow. They will work together until next Tuesday, 19 September. “The fundamental themes in the agenda of the plenary assembly are “Amoris Laetitia” and the questions linked with its application in our countries; “Ratio Fundamentalis”; and the motu proprio “Magnum Principium”, says Secretary General of the Bishops’ Conference Sister Anna Mirijam Kaschner to SIR. Then, the bishops “will prepare the ad limina visit scheduled in 2018, as well as the pilgrimage of the relics of Saint Therese of Lisieux and her parents to our countries”. On Sunday, 17 September, at 10:30 am, the bishops are celebrating a Mass at the Landakot Cathedral, the Basilica of Christ the King, in both Icelandic and Latin. It is the first meeting of the Bishops’ Conference since the Bishop of Stockholm Anders Arborelius was appointed Cardinal.
