The Archbishop of Évora, Mgr. José Alves, inaugurated the pastoral year 2017-2018 by presiding over the “Day of the Diocesan Church” at the Salesian Pavilion. The Archdiocese informs in a press release that the programme will start with an analysis of the topic “My family communicates the joy of love” by spouses Eugénia and Fernando Magalhães, members of the Patriarchate of Lisbon. In the same document, the archbishop says he is pleased with the fact that, finally, the 2017 pastoral activity can also rely on the help of 18 permanent deacons, aged between 39 and 63, who were ordained on 24 September 2017.
