Czech Republic: “Listen, bow and serve”, Caritas project dedicated to care for elderly people

(Bratislava) – “Do you know how to ensure a decent senior life when you get old? Take care of elderly people now!”. With this provocative motto, Caritas Czech Republic invites younger generations to participate in the project “Take Care”, due to culminate tomorrow (16 September) in Prague. “We want to draw attention to the fact that one day everybody will become a senior, even those who feel free and careless because they are young now. Nothing teaches better than a personal experience with those who need our services and attention because of their age. Seniors should get our empathy and help. If we listen and bow, there is a sound chance that this example of love and solidarity will inspire us”, explain the representatives of Caritas. Visitors at the Caritas Day can talk to experts in the areas of social work and medicine, attend workshops about all aspects of elderly care, receive training in handling sick persons, or visit the exhibition with pictures of clients of charitable facilities run by Caritas in all regions of the Czech Republic.
