(Bratislava) – Several priests and ministers of seven Christian denominations united in the Council of Christian Churches of the region of Dnipropetrovsk have recorded a video entitled “Our Father”. According to Fr. Vasyl Kolodiy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the unique project based on the idea of unity represents a response to the need of society: “We unite around our heavenly Father, each of us in his own faith, each of us in his Church, acknowledging the one God who has created heaven and earth”.

Participants claim that the video wants to set a good example to the whole society. “We would like to send a message that now it is time for unity in Ukraine. Enough of divisions based on language and religious affiliation! Our country needs unity like never before”, explains Mykhailo Mokienko, head of the Council of Christian Churches. The video was directed by layman Mykhailo Moskalenko who describes this volunteering job as a “social contribution”. The shooting lasted two months and the result can be seen on several public domains including that of the Religious Information Service of Ukraine.
