“In thanking for the much-appreciated wishes He received for His personal anniversary, Pontiff Emeritus Benedict XVI reciprocates by wishing all the best and, in this Jubilee Year, He supports everyone with His prayers and His Blessing”. This is the message entrusted to the Vatican Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI Foundation, as the Pope Emeritus’ thanks for the very many wishes that He has received over the last few days. On 16th April, He actually celebrated his 89th birthday, while today is the 11th anniversary of His election in the pontifical chair (19th April, 2005).
