Czech Republic: National March for Life takes place tomorrow in Prague

(Bratislava) “Abortion is never a good solution. We can always find a way to give every child a chance to be born, helping women to accept their baby even though their pregnancy took them by surprise”, says Radim Uchac, president of the Movement for Life in the Czech Republic. As he adds, “being creative and pro-life means also to go out and say it aloud”, and the National March for Life is an opportunity to “give hope to society”. People will march to uphold pro-life values on 2 April 2016 in Prague. According to the Statistical Office of the Czech Republic, almost 22,000 children were artificially aborted in 2014. “We invite people to come to the march and save their lives. Maybe not literally, but it is crucial to show our support to their mothers, so that they will not make decisions that may hurt for the rest of their lives. Not to mention the fact that the abortion law does not encourage people’s responsibility and effective prevention”, says Katerina Uchacova, director of the non-governmental organization Res Claritatis. The program will start at 10 o’clock with a Eucharistic celebration in the Cathedral of St. Vitus, Venceslaus and Adalbert in Prague, due to be presided over by Cardinal Dominik Duka.
