Pope Francis: Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris laetitia” to be presented on 8 April

Pope Francis’ Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris laetitia” on love in the family will be presented to the press in the John Paul II Hall of the Holy See Press Office at 11:30am on Friday, 8 April, as announced by the Vatican Press Office today. Key speakers will include Card. Lorenzo Baldisseri, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops; Card. Cristoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna; and married couple Francesco Miano, lecturer of moral philosophy at Rome’s University of “Tor Vergata” and Giuseppina De Simone in Miano, lecturer of philosophy at the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy in Naples. The Pope’s Apostolic Exhortation marks the conclusion of the Synod on the Family – the first Synod convened by Pope Francis – which took place in two phases: the Extraordinary Assembly in October 2014 and the Ordinary Assembly in October 2015. In between the two phases, a Questionnaire on the family was sent to all Bishops’ Conferences across the world.
