A group of singers, composers, set designers, and persons in charge of youth pastoral got together to prepare “Ad Gentes”, “a turnkey show”. “All the necessary elements for motivating youth to become missionary disciples by staging an art and pedagogic project” are available in an easy kit, says French singer Grégory Turpin, the promoter of the initiative. Art creation is “the means to mobilise youth about the world themes of the Christian message. It is a path for new evangelisation and training, for both youth and potential public”, says Turpin. Already set up by a French Luxembourgian group last summer, a new group is going on a French tour in France in July, and then to Poland, to present it at the World Youth Day in Cracow. The kit includes libretto, screenplay instructions, CD with songs and musical bases, scores and song texts, a pedagogic guide, and material for show presentation and promotion (ad-gentes.com). “The show has an easy format, extremely creative, and adjustable depending on available art resources”. Those who conceived the project made it for export to all continents, for WYD preparation, with due translation and arrangements.
