Poland: cycle of multilingual spiritual exercises in Lagiewniki in the run-up to WYD2016

Next Saturday, February 20th, in the sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, Poland, devotees will be able to attend the spiritual exercises of the cycle “For us and for the whole world”, organised as spiritual preparation for the WYD2016 by the Department for pastoral care of Cracow. The meeting will be streamed at www.milosierdzie.pl. “Encouraged by Pope Francis, we want to get ready for the WYD through works of mercy”, state the promoters of the initiative, launched five months before the World Youth meeting. As part of the initiative, “special guests will come from all of Poland and from abroad to present the topic and works of mercy”, thus kick-starting “the practice of mercy in everybody’s life”. Through an online connection in Polish and Italian, translated into English and other languages, “young people all over the world can attend the spiritual preparation, meeting in prayer and listening to God’s Word”. The first guests arrived in Lagiewniki are father Antonello Cadeddu and father Enrique Porcu, from Brazil; on Saturday 20th February, it will be the turn of Polish don Adam Szustak, then don Peter Hocken (UK), Mexican theologian José H. Prado Flores, and more.
