Poland: Poznan, Catholic businessmen’s meeting about “God, family life, business and generosity”

“God, family life, business and generosity”: this is the title of the Catholic businessmen’s two-day meeting due to take place in Poznan, in Poland, on 5th and 6th November. The participants will discuss “how to put in practice God’s rules in professional life” as well as “how to use those rules to achieve material and spiritual success”. The event, promoted by the Foundation of Christian business works and “Talent”, the National Pastoral service for businessmen, has been organised to celebrate the 1050th anniversary of the Christianisation of Poland in response “to a rising demand for discovering and building companies based on Christian values”. Don Rafal Ostrowski, one of the organisers of the meeting, explains the title of the event by revealing that “God is top of the list in any area of a Christian person’s life, while family life, as a constant call, must come before professional duty”; and he adds that “one who has opened a business can choose to go the way of greed or the way of solidarity, the only one that can really save man”. Guest speakers will include Frank Adam Brandenberg of the German Association Christliche Kooperationsboerse, and Indian businessman and philanthropist living in Dubai Kay Cee Chacko, who is well known for his work in the Catholic world as well.
