Once again, the diocese of Rotterdam will be hosting the “Tour of faith”, an initiative of the youth pastoral service that provides monthly meetings in different parish churches of the diocese, always with the same “format”: celebration of the Eucharist; talks on faith, and sharing of the evening meal. The first event will take place on Sunday 9th October in the Parish Church of Don Bosco in Rijswijk, a town in the metropolitan area of The Hague, for a meeting called “Get moving”. The meeting is open to all young people aged 16 to 30 but “a special invitation has been made to the young people who attended the WYD and for whom the afternoon should act as a sort of ‘reunion’”, the organisers explain. Actually, the meeting will start with a “photo gallery of the journey to Cracow, and some young people will share their experiences”. Then, Bishop Hans Van den Hende will introduce the theme, “taking inspiration from Pope Francis’s speech and sermon that encouraged young people in Cracow to get up from their couches and leave their mark on history to make all the difference”, as explained by the managers of the Youth Pastoral Service. The young will split into small groups and will “look to the future and answer the question: what next? What do we take to the parish?”.
