Today, December 17th, Pope Francis will celebrate his 79th birthday. Birthday wishes are coming from all over the world, and celebrations are being held in several churches. Yesterday, at the end of the general audience in St Peter’s Square, the devotees sang “Happy Birthday”, and a Mexican journalist gave the Holy Father a special sombrero-shaped cake from the people of Mexico who will be waiting for him next February.
