(Sir Europe – Bratislava) – “Evolution-science-religion and contemporary world” is the title of an international academic conference taking place on 5 November in Bratislava. A project organized by the Faculty of Theology of the University of Trnava, the Faculty of Philosophy of the Comenius University and the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Warsaw pays tribute to the 60th anniversary of death of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Speakers of the event will present various aspects of his life and work, as well as topics like “Science and faith: harmony or contradiction?”; Evolution and Christian faith; The Omega point revisited from new tree of Life and the ecological crises; “Evolution and creatio continua – from conflict to integration”; or “Research as mystical quest”. Among the lecturers there will be Prof. T. Driollet de Vedoya and Prof. L. Florio from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, Prof. L. Galleni from Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose in Pisa, or Prof. F. Euvé SJ from Centre Sèvres – Facultés jésuites de Paris.
